Lyla's first Christmas was AMAZING but quite an exhausting day for all of us... most exhausting for Lyla! In the days leading up to Christmas, Lyla had been sleeping until 9 or 10 AM! But Christmas morning, she was up at 6:30 AM! She must have heard Santa leaving!
We had four stops on Christmas day- The Heflebower Breakfast at Tommy's aunt and uncle's house, Tommy's dad's house, My mom's house for lunch, and Tommy's mom's house for dinner. All of us were completely spoiled EVERYWHERE!!!! And despite my efforts for Lyla to receive no toys, we sure did end up with a load of them... but Lyla loves them.
The Cozy Coupe: Santa brought this to Grandma's house for Zoey and Lyla to share! (Lyla is still a little too small for it)
Lyla got to play in it on Christmas Eve night after Daddy finished putting it together... GOAL for the rest of our lives: buy items already put together. haha!
Christmas Morning: This is Lyla on her very first Christmas Morning! Even though she was already awake when we went in her room to get her, she didn't seem ready to wake up- but we had a long day ahead and had to get things started!

It's a Ball Popper!... after opening it, we realized we didn't have batteries for it... pictures of her playing with it will come later! ...Still new at this whole parenting thing!... haha!

The day after Christmas, when we were semi-snowed-in, I decided to do some serious cleaning. We took the Christmas tree down and put Lyla's playpen up with some of her toys from Christmas in it...

I cannot believe Christmas has come and gone! I'm excited for how different next year will be- maybe we'll be able to do The Elf on the Shelf!... maybe Lyla will be able to say, 'Santa'! We'll see!
2010 has been such a fantastic year for us! I'm sure 2011 will prove to be just as wonderful!
