Lyla has become her own little person. She continues to love Elmo and really enjoys playing with the dollhouse we got her for Christmas. She also loves pretending to talk on the phone.
Another thing Lyla loves is our dog, Seven. Sometimes, our dog misbehaves and does her business (poop) on the floor. Lyla will come get me or Tommy and say, "Oh no, Doggy Mess!" That story sort of makes us sound like bad parents but if that's as bad as it gets, we're doing pretty good! Earlier tonight, Seven was in the bedroom with the door closed and Lyla was yelling, "Where are you, Seven?" Things she says to Seven: sit doggy, come here, hug, no no, stop, etc... she thinks she's in charge of Seven. She calls Seven by name and sometimes calls her "Sev", like Tommy and I do. She is too cute for words!
Lyla is still loving her daycare- there hasn't been a day when she has acted hesitant to say 'goodbye' to me when I drop her off. This makes me so happy! Sharon, who is her caregiver, is amazing- we are so grateful for her. Lyla has begun to call Sharon by name and also her little friends there with her... Sharon watches more boys than girls so hopefully Lyla is learning what boys are 'all about'! ;)
Maybe those boys are rubbing off on her because our daughter is quite the little monkey! She is always busy, moving around. When at a restaurant or the grocery store, we have to constantly keep our eyes on Lyla- she is VERY quick to maneuver out of her safety belt and stand up. She loves to stand on things... she'll stand up on a chair and then look at us and smile because she knows we don't want her to do it but she's just so darn proud!
This is Lyla's life in a nutshell for now. Her world is about to be rocked... hopefully I'll get around to posting a few more times before we become a family of four! :) Thanks for reading!!!!
